Pompadour

This selection's name of sentimental prints in the modern idiom and palette of Osborne & Little is derived from the title of Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour (1721–1764), the most persuasive of Louis XV's mistresses, remaining a close adviser of the king until her death. Designs include Du Barry, Soubise, Fontette, Palais Chinois, Du Barry Stripe, Vaujours, and Marivault supplied in numerous colourways.
