Owned by the Desart family, the company has been designing and manufacturing elegant wallcoverings since 1981. Arte wallcoverings decorate the walls of residential homes and project interiors in over 80 countries around the world. They keep a permanent stock of their papers at their headquarters in Zonhoven, Belgium.

New collections are designed every year by the team of in-house designers.  All of these new products must be of superior quality while being on trend and innovative. A lot of time and effort goes into research: Arte is constantly looking for new production methods and materials of the highest quality. In fact, the research that the team undertake is so intense that it can sometimes take more than a year for a new collection to be complete.

The company believe in an environmentally friendly approach to production. Around half of the products are manufactured at their factory in Zonhoven using environmentally-friendly processes. A smaller number of their wallpapers are produced by external printers who apply the same quality and sustainability norms.
