Will my parcel have customs and import charges?

if you’re having goods delivered to an address outside of the UK you may be charged handling fee as your order passes by the customs in your individual country.


All charges on a parcel due to importing goods are the responsibility of the person receiving the parcel and must be paid accordingly.


Select wallpaper and Fabrics unfortunately has no control over the charges from customs, and we recommend that this should be checked with your local customs office prior to ordering to avoid unexpected charges.

What forms of payment does Select Wallpaper accept?

  • Select Wallpaper accepts most major credit and debit cards including Visa, Switch, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, Solo, Visa Electron, Delta, BACS (Bank funds transfer); as well as providing an alternate payment gateway through PayPal.

Has my order been received?

Customers will receive an email within minutes (usually instantly) confirming that the order has been received. When making a purchase you are also invited to open an account with us so that you may check the status of your order at any time simply by logging in to your account. We also welcome customers to telephone us to confirm their order has been received or dispatched if for any reason you are unable to access your email.

Is your payment gateway secure?

Yes. Select Wallpaper.co.uk supports authentication throughout our Checkout procedure. The identity of our website has been verified by the USERTRUST Network, a certificate authority trusted for this purpose. Our SSL Certificate uses High-grade Encryption (AES-256 256 bit), meaning all Checkout pages are fully encrypted before being transmitted over the internet. 

What if the wallpaper that I order is out of stock?

Select Wallpaper have access to stock approximately 80% of the brands of wallpapers shown on web site, if your wallpaper is not in stock we will call you within 24 hours (usually quicker) A member of staff will let you know the expected date to complete your order or offer you a full refund.

Select Wallpaper do not stock every product listed online therefore are unable to quote stock levels.  
Stock levels are always changing with each brand supplier.   If unsure please contact us by telephone or email in advance of placing your order online to save disappointment.   Select Wallpaper will not be responsible for any shortfall due to currency exchange rates, should we need to refund your order.

Do you charge Value Added Tax on wallpaper?

All prices shown on Select Wallpaper have VAT already applied at 20%. (Orders for delivery outside the EU are free of UK VAT.)

Do you allow shipping to an address other than my own?

Yes. When making your purchase online you will be given the opportunity to enter both an invoice address and a shipping address. Wherever the order is sent however it must be signed for.

Do you accept cash on delivery, allowing me to pay for my wallpaper when I receive it?

All products must be paid for prior to delivery due to our wallpaper being delivered through a third-party courier service.

If the wallpaper is faulty, what is your returns policy?

In the event of a fault please send a sample of the product to us with the label(s). We also ask that should your delivery arrive in a less than satisfactory condition, i.e the box has been damaged in transit, please note this when signing for the delivery. If you are able to take a photograph of the damaged box this would help us tremendously in our seeking a refund from the courier delivery company.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO READ THE HANGING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE MANUFACTURER’SLABEL BEFORE YOU COMMENCE WITH THE JOB 

Are you working in good lighting, cleanliness and temperature conditions? YES/NO

Are you sure that the goods are as ordered (pattern number, colour & design) and are free of faults? YES/NO

Does the colour and shading match on all rolls? Are they from the same batch? YES/NO

Do you have the correct hanging instructions and are you using the correct adhesive? YES/NO

After hanging 3 LENGTHS of paper, is the result satisfactory? YES/NO 

Please note some papers are reverse rolled due to production methods, the way the paper comes off the roll is not necessarily the way it should be hung, ensure you check before hanging

If you have answered NO to any of the above checks or if you have any doubts, do not proceed with the job 

You should contact your supplier immediately. It becomes your responsibility if you fail to carry out these checks and no claims will be considered for cutting or hanging more than 3 lengths

 
 

Can I return non faulty wallpaper?

Due to the bespoke nature of some of our products we are unable to issue refunds on items that have been cut for you, all made to measure products and part orders of wallpaper.  This is why we always recommend ordering samples of fabrics and wallpapers before placing an order.   We also always recommend that you order a sample first to avoid any confusion regarding colour, scale of pattern, finish etc.

Some wallart is printed to order and if a design is printed at different times there is no guarantee of colours matching exactly unless they were all printed on the same run.

All other items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.   Items must be returned undamaged and in their original packaging.   WALLPAPER ORDERS MAY ONLY BE RETURNED AS COMPLETE ORDERS.

Any Wallpaper or Fabric bought from our Sale section can not be returned.

Please inspect your items when you receive them.   For fabrics and wallpapers, please check you are happy prior to cutting or hanging. If your order arrives damaged or faulty please let us know within 48 hours of delivery.
If the product is defective in any way or has a fault, a replacement or refund will be made as long as the product is in the same condition as dispatched and it is within seven days with the sales ticket and in the original packaging.   Please note that you should check all wallpaper products for faults before and during hanging.   If the product is defective in any way or has a fault, a full replacement or refund will be made at no charge. 

 

The wallpaper I am looking for is not listed on your site. Can you help?

In most cases the answer is Yes. Please contact us with as much information as possible, for example Brand Name, Book Name, Pattern Number etc. The more information you can provide us with the quicker we will be able to respond to your request.

Can you supply fabrics to match my wallpaper?

We supply fabrics by all major brands currently found on our website so please telephone or email us to discuss your needs.

Is the wallpaper shown online an exact match of the physical product itself?

Ordering a sample of wallpaper is always recommended as the color shown on your computer screen may slightly vary from the physical product itself. When scanning our wallpaper we always try to ensure that the colour matches as closely as possible, however every computer monitor has different settings for brightness, contrast etc and as a result may appear to be a lighter or darker shade than it actually is. The cost of a sample is refunded if you later decide you would like to purchase the wallpaper.

Do Select Wallpaper participate in web site link exchange programs?

We only provide links to companies with whom we are associated with or trade with on a regular basis. Link exchange requests for websites and/or companies that we are not associated with will be ignored.

What size are the samples?

We try to provide samples A4 or larger, if we provide a sample smaller than A4 we can refund your sample cost.
