Plain Stripe

A range of 72 self-coloured 3½" striped papers produced in the traditional 19th century trough method using only our finest water based paints. Both the ground colour and the stripe are created by pulling paper under open bottomed troughs full of paint. The stripes are made by blocking off sections in the trough. While retaining the traditional printing process gives enormous life and beauty to these papers, advancements in colour control produce papers of great consistency.
